8th Annual Teddy Bear Picnic

Saturday, June 14th • 11:00pm – 2:00pm

Join us for a delightful day of FREE entertainment, games, crafts, balloon sculptures, moon bounce, refreshments and teddy bear contests! Prizes awarded for the best bears.  Event is free.


  • 11:00am-1:00pm ~ Picnic & Entertainment by Ray Owen. Frederick Fudge & Ice Cream Co. lawn. BYO or buy kid-friendly box lunches at the Coffee Co. for only $3! Includes PBJ sandwich, fruit cup and bottle of water.
  • 11:00am-2:00pm ~ Moon Bounce, Crafts, Face Paint and Balloon Artist
  • 1:00pm-1:30pm ~ Teddy Bear Contest Registration Frederick Fudge & Ice Cream Co. lawn
  • 2:00pm ~ Contest Awards Announced Frederick Fudge & Ice Cream Co. lawn

Bring your favorite bear to enter into our competition. Categories include:

  • Most Worn Out
  • Best Dressed
  • Best Vintage (20+)
  • Best Ethnic or Foreign Made

The event and all activities are free, however donation jars will be offered for guests who wish to support Sophie and Madigan’s Playground, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization created to honor the lives of Sophie and Madigan Lillard, who died at ages 6 and 3 as a result of a horrific house fire that occurred on January 31, 2013.

The mission of Sophie and Madigan's Playground is to honor the lives of Sophie and Madigan Lillard by building a memorial playground and providing opportunities for children and their families to play, learn, and create lifelong memories together, and in ways that reflect the beautiful personalities and spirits of these two sisters.

Located in the parking lot behind Talbot’s, enjoy fresh produce and products from participating farmers, bakers, artisans, and business owners!
